Today, on August 18, 2012, I installed Windows 8 Pro – replacing the Windows 7 that I was currently using. This was the first time that I had an opportunity to get in an really play around with the new OS. I am enjoying the new layout, the tiles are extremely nice and the navigation is very easy but there are a couple of things I don’t understand. First, why do they go back to the Windows 7 desktop to run the applications. (I have to be honest, I have not read any documentation on Windows 8 and this might be explained in that documentation) Secondly, I don’t understand the pinning of applications to the tiles. I mean I get that I to right click and the Apps window becomes available. Then I need to right click the app I want and pin it to the start, but why does it go to the last area instead of the area that the mouse was in when I started the process.
